Safe Install Guide

  1. Make a complete backup of your /Grand Theft Auto V/ folder.
  2. Install Script Hook V. This is required for almost all scripts.
  3. Install OpenIV. Use it to enable mods mode (creates a separate mods/ folder so the originals stay clean).
  4. Drop each mod into /mods/ following its README. Never overwrite the original files directly.
  5. Launch via PlayGTAV.exe, not the Rockstar launcher. The launcher will sometimes overwrite Script Hook on update.
  6. If anything breaks: delete the mod's folder. If GTA still crashes, restore your backup.
